By using Langbly API, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Langbly API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Langbly provides programmatic and connected interfaces for translating text between languages, including the API and the Langbly Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Use an authorized API key or approve a supported OAuth connection
- Maintain the security of your API keys
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- Not share API keys, access tokens, or connector credentials with others
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Translate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
- Exceed rate limits or abuse the Service
5. Pricing and Payment
Pricing terms (when paid plans are enabled for your account):
- Billing is based on input characters as described on our pricing page
- Billing details are provided during checkout or by invoice
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
6. MCP and Third-Party AI Clients
When you connect Langbly to an MCP-compatible AI client, you authorize that client to request the Langbly tools shown on the consent screen. Successful translation tool calls consume your Langbly account allowance and may be billable under your plan, just like equivalent API calls. You are responsible for reviewing the client name, redirect destination, requested access, and each host's own terms and privacy practices.
You may not impersonate Langbly, publish a misleading connector, circumvent consent or account limits, or use automated retries in a way that creates abusive or unintended usage.
7. Service Level Agreement
We do not currently provide an uptime SLA or service credits unless explicitly agreed in writing.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim ownership of any text you submit for translation. Our Service, including its design, features, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Langbly API shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Langbly API and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. To cancel the Service, contact us at hello@langbly.com.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
