Langbly API ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our translation API service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Name (optional)
• Company name (optional)
• Billing information (processed securely by Lemon Squeezy)

2.2 Usage Data

We collect aggregated usage statistics including:

• Number of API requests
• Character counts (for billing)
• Language pairs used
• Response times and error rates

2.3 What We Don't Collect

We do not store request bodies in our database. When caching is enabled, translation results may be stored temporarily to speed up repeated requests.

2.4 MCP and OAuth Connections

If you connect Langbly to an AI client through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), we process your Langbly user identifier, email and profile information needed for OAuth sign-in, the OAuth client identifier, consent and token lifecycle information, and operational usage metadata. Translation text and tool results pass through the services needed to perform the requested tool call, but translation request bodies are not stored in our database.

The AI client or host may separately retain prompts, chat history, approvals, and tool results under its own privacy policy. Review the host's policy before sending personal, confidential, or regulated content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Process payments and send billing information
• Send service-related communications
• Monitor and improve service performance
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• TLS encryption for all API traffic
• Cryptographic API-key and OAuth-token verification
• Access controls for operational systems
• Resource-bound MCP access tokens and private service bindings

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

• Unkey - API key management
• AI Translation Provider - Translation model inference
• Supabase - User authentication and OAuth 2.1 authorization
